Scattered thunderstorms will move across northeastern Oklahoma this morning with a limited severe weather and heavy rain threat. Localized flooding is possible. After these thunderstorms exit the area to the east later this morning, hot and humid conditions will develop, with afternoon heat indices from 105 to 110 degrees for a large portion of the area. Another round of thunderstorms is expected to develop late this afternoon and early this evening across far northeastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas. These thunderstorms will pose a risk of severe weather across much of the region as they move southeast across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. The initial storms that develop will pose a tornado and large hail threat. Later in the evening, the thunderstorms are expected to evolve into a line, with the primary severe weather threat transitioning to damaging wind, with a lesser threat of large hail.
