TROPICAL CYCLONE SUMMARY: (1) AT 21JUN26 0000Z, TROPICAL STORM 07W (MEKKHALA) WAS LOCATED NEAR 15.4N 133.0E, APPROXIMATELY 727 NM SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF KADENA AB, AND HAD TRACKED WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 14 KNOTS OVER THE PAST SIX HOURS. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED SURFACE WINDS WERE ESTIMATED AT 55 KNOTS GUSTING TO 70 KNOTS. SEE REF A (WTPN31 PGTW 210300) FOR FURTHER DETAILS. (2) NO OTHER TROPICAL CYCLONES. B. TROPICAL DISTURBANCE SUMMARY: (1) AN AREA OF CONVECTION (INVEST 94W) HAS PERSISTED NEAR 13.0N 152.2E, APPROXIMATELY 441 NM EAST OF GUAM. ANIMATED ENHANCED MULTISPECTRAL SATELLITE IMAGERY (MSI) DEPICTS FLARING CONVECTION ASSOCIATED WITH A POORLY DEFINED BUT CONSOLIDATING LOW-LEVEL CIRCULATION CENTER (LLCC) WITH ASSOCIATED BURSTS OF DEEP CONVECTION NEAR THE CENTER. ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS FOR THIS AREA REVEALS A FAVORABLE AREA FOR DEVELOPMENT WITH LOW (5-10 KTS) VERTICAL WIND SHEAR, WARM (29-30 C) SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURES, AND MODERATE POLEWARD OUTFLOW IN THE UPPER LEVELS. GLOBAL ENSEMBLES ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH VERY SLOW DEVELOPMENT AND INTENSIFICATION IN THE NEAR TERM AS THE SYSTEM TRACKS NORTHWESTWARD. GLOBAL DETERMINISTIC MODELS SHOW VERY MINIMAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ECMWF SHOWING ELEVATED WINDS FOR A SHORT PERIOD BEFORE WEAKENING. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED SURFACE WINDS ARE ESTIMATED AT 13 TO 18 KNOTS. MINIMUM SEA LEVEL PRESSURE IS ESTIMATED TO BE NEAR 1009 MB.
